Summary
The Marsh Tacky is a historic treasure of the US East Coast. For centuries, it was the essential workhorse in isolated Gullah communities. Its name “Tacky” meant “common” or “cheap” in the past, but today it is a priority conservation breed due to its rarity and unique abilities to navigate swampy terrain.
