Often confused with a “Mini Aussie” (though now a recognized separate breed), the Miniature American Shepherd is a little dynamo. Ideal for those who love the intelligence and beauty of the Australian Shepherd but don’t have space for a large one.

Origin and History

Developed in California in the 1960s from small Australian Shepherds working in rodeos. Breeders sought a dog that was easy to transport while retaining herding instinct and intelligence.
